Iowans are known for their warm, friendly demeanor. Pocahontas Area Communities are no exception to that stereotype. Pocahontas Area is the type of place where neighbors know their neighbors and everyone in the multiple communities that make up Pocahontas Area are willing to help each other out. And yes we do wave at everyone when they drive by!

Pocahontas Area is make up of the following communities;
Pocahontas, Rolfe, Havelock, Plover, Pomeroy, Palmer.
Residents of these individual communities enjoy a very low cost of living meaning a dollar will go much further in Pocahontas Area than in any metropolitan area. Pocahontas Area has a median home value that is significantly below the national average making it much more affordable to own a home in Pocahontas Area than anywhere. Pocahontas Area has housing available to meet every income level. 
Pocahontas offers all of life's essential services.
There is a lot of hometown pride in the several communities that make up the bigger Pocahontas Area. The multiple communities feed into the Pocahontas Area Community School and Pocahontas Catholic School. Pocahontas Area Elementary School and the Jr. Sr. High are located right next to one another while the Catholic School remains two blocks away. 

Both public and private school systems offer a great deal of programming and servicing to meet the needs of the area patrons.
